Tayi devours us into her world, once again. Her strength and sexiness are blessings from her ancestors.  With each reread Rangikura keeps Maori folklore and culture close to the centre. We're asked to observe relationships to desire, the erotic and the ways colonialism has coloured these expressions.  Tayi Tibble already knows she's whole, and with these poems demands her reader to be whole too.  In Rangikura she’s willing to show us the ways she's fought for her expansion into womanhood.  This collection embraces holding all of yourself accountable but also more importantly holding all of your range fearlessly.
